Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides strategic leadership for the ARL. It consists of four elected members and the full-time Secretary General. Together with the Secretariat, it decides on research planning, new working formats and the further development of the ARL.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the supervisory body of the ARL. It ensures that the Academy fulfils its statutory duties and supports its strategic orientation. It meets twice a year and appoints the members of the Presidium, among other things.

Academic Advisory Board

The Academic Advisory Board is composed of internationally renowned figures from Germany and abroad. It acts as an advisory body to the ARL on scientific and organisational matters.

User Advisory Boards

The User Advisory Board acts as an advisory body for the Academy in the further development of its services. The perspective of users of Academy products and services is taken into account in this process.

General Assembly

The General Assembly is made up of the members of the ARL. Its tasks are to advise on fundamental issues and priorities for the ARL's activities.
