Transfer format: ‘Climate-resilient sponge cities – between planning concepts and the realities of everyday life’
Leitung:
Prof. Dr. Timothy Moss ,
Dr. Valentin Meilinger
Supervision ARL:
The transfer programme, which is funded by the ARL as part of the ‘Water’ mission, is led by Prof. Dr Timothy Moss (Humboldt University of Berlin) and Dr Valentin Meilinger (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg).
The aim of the programme is to examine everyday life in ‘sponge cities’, thereby linking up with current debates on the ‘implementation crisis’ surrounding climate adaptation and the Great Transformation. By adopting an everyday perspective, the programme aims to provide a better understanding of – and shed new light on – the tension between political objectives and the realities of everyday life.
