Time use and wellbeing: the challenges ahead in a post-pandemic era of uncertainty

The committee is pleased to announce the upcoming IATUR conference call for papers for the 44th annual conference of the International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR) to be held in Montréal, Québec, Canada, August 16-19, 2022.

The event will take place in the Cœur des Sciences (Heart of Science) campus of the University of Québec in Montréal, right next to the vibrant Quartier des spectacles and downtown Montréal.

This year’s conference theme will be:

Time use and wellbeing: the challenges ahead in a post-pandemic era of uncertainty.

Through keynotes and highlight sessions, the conference organizers hope to address observed changes in activities, habits and organization of people’s time during the past years of pandemic lockdowns, mobility and work restrictions. They further hope to gather prospective insights about the impact of this period on the coming years, once COVID-19 recedes. How can we catalyze on this collective experience to improve the lives of individuals, workers and families? Can we develop or transform policies to achieve this?

More generally, the conference will host more than 150 time use researchers, professionals and students from around the world on themes related to advances in methodological and data collection tools, comparative analyses between country policies and on classic thematic analyses related to this broad field of research.

The final deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday May 20, 2022

Submitters who meet this deadline will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection by Friday, June 3, 2022.
