First Cohort (2015–2018)

The first cohort of the TRUST/ARL Research Training program began on November 1st, 2015, and consisted of eight doctoral students researching in the field of "Spatial Transformation - Phenomena, Planning, Control, Design in the field of tension between Urban and Rural Spaces".

The ARL hosted four doctoral students from the TRUST/ARL Research Training program:

•    Dr. Milad Abassiharofteh: Knowledge networks in time and space: Investigations at the node, dyad and structural levels. Utrecht: Utrecht University, supervised by Prof. dr. R.A. Boschma

•    Jessica Baier: Soziale Raumkonstitutionen von Studierenden. Eine qualitative empirische Untersuchung an privaten Hochschulen. Institute for Sociology (till 2019), supervised by Prof. Dr. Eva Barlösius, Leibniz Center for Science and Socienty (from 2019), supervised by Prof. Dr. Anna Kosmützky and PD. Dr. Axel Philipps

  • Angelina Göb: Stadt-Land Hybride: Konstruktionen von Lebenswelten in und durch Suburbia. Institute for Environmental Planning, supervised by Prof. Dr. Frank Othengrafen
  • Insa Thimm: Bürgerenergiegenossenschaften als Akteure der Orts- und Regionalentwicklung. Institute for Environmental Planning, supervised by Prof. Dr. Rainer Danielzyk
