ARL Brussels Talk
Policy Dialogue at the European Level
The ARL Brussels Talks are a policy advisory and knowledge transfer format of the ARL at the European level. They bring together experts from science, administration, and policy to discuss current issues of sustainable spatial development in a European context.
The aim of the format is to feed ARL’s scientifically grounded insights into European policy debates and, conversely, to reflect impulses from EU institutions and European networks back into German and international spatial research and planning discussions.
Held in Brussels in cooperation with European partner institutions, the Brussels Talks promote exchange on spatially relevant topics such as territorial cohesion, governance structures, climate adaptation, energy and mobility transitions, and regional resilience.
In this way, they contribute to evidence-based policymaking in Europe and strengthen the ARL’s role as an independent scientific voice on sustainable spatial development.
