Call for Membership: Review Committee for the ARL

The ARL has reorganised the application and review process for setting up working formats (e.g. working groups) and now provides an online form for applications to be submitted as well as fixed submission and decision deadlines. Applications are to be assessed by an independent Review Committee. These quality-assured measures are intended to make the application and deci-sion-making process transparent and accelerated.
The Executive Committee therefore invites active Academy members to express their interest in participating in the Review Committee in 2025 and 2026 and to help shape the content-related work of the ARL in this important function.

About the Committee

The Review Committee deals with all applications for the establishment of new temporary working bodies, i.e. working groups (national, international, ad hoc), working groups of the Regional ARL Forums and the Forum Nachwuchs and European Working Groups, as well as applications for the prolongation of ARL Expert Forums.

Your expression of interest

The Call for Membership aimes at members of the Academy from academia and practice. Younger colleagues are expressly invited to express their interest. In the composition of the Review commit-tee, care will be taken to ensure that the genders and age groups, academia and practice, as well as various specialist disciplines and the international perspective are represented. The members of the Review Committee should have a broad knowledge of ARL-relevant topics.

The submission deadline has been extended to 31 May 2025.
