The new anthology „Land Policies in Europe. Land-Use Planning, Property Rights, and Spatial Development“ edited by Thomas Hartmann, Andreas Hengstermann, Mathias Jehling, Arthur Schindelegger and Fabian Wenner is one of the central results of the inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration of the ARL International Working Group on Land Policies in Europe.
The anthology offers a comparative overview based on a problem-centred case study analysis for 12 European countries by summarising and reflecting on findings from research and practice; it provides the first Europe-wide overview on land policy since 1993.
Furthermore, essential insights of the book are exposed through a reflective discussion format, complemented by reflections from esteemed experts and structured around problem-oriented chapters (stories).
