International Working group to gender and climate just cities and urban regions in the Czech Republic

The international working group (IAK) "Gender and climate just Cities and urban Regions" met in Usti nach Labem (Czech Republic) on April 27/28. In addition to the discussion of the members' scientific contributions, the focus was on examples of water-sensitive urban development. A field trip through the Mirove sady park and the new university campus highlighted the challenges faced by one that needs to develop open space sustainably and act in a water-sensitive manner. A visit to a community garden completed the IAK workshop.

The meeting was hosted by IAK member Prof. Lenka Slavíková, from the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies at Univ. Usti nad Laben and her team.
