AlpPlan workshop & general assembly: Register now!

„Advancing Green Infrastructure Planning in the Alpine region“ – Thematic workshop and general assembly of the AlpPlan network on 07 and 08 November 2022 in Vienna (hybrid event).

Foto: Salzachtal / Constantin MeyerAlpPlan, the Alpine spatial planning network, invites its members and other interested professionals to a hybrid workshop on 07 and 08 November 2022 at TU Wien in Vienna (AT). The workshop will be held in combination with the first general assembly of AlpPlan members. It aims to highlight different perspectives on Green Infrastructure Planning in the Alpine Region by fostering continuous transnational exchange on this issue. A special thematic focus lies on the consideration of ecological connectivity in spatial planning processes. Just like the general aspiration of the AlpPlan network, the workshop brings together interdisciplinary perspectives from science and planning practice.

Registration

Registration is now open until Thursday, 20 October 2022. Please register by writing an e-mail to AlpPlan@arl-net.de and indicate in your e-mail, if you wish to participate on the spot in Vienna or online. For online participation, registration is possible until Thursday, 03 November 2022.  

Travel and accomodation

For appointed members of the AlpPlan network, travel and hotel costs will be covered by ARL. ARL povides a contingent of hotel rooms at Motel One Wien-Staatsoper on 07/ - 08/11/2022. If you want us to reserve a hotel room, please inform us in your registration e-mail. Travel costs for the journey to/from Vienna can be reimbursed after the event in accordance with the Bundesreisekostengesetz (German Travel Expenses Act; more information on this factsheet (PDF).

The Interreg Alpine Space “OpenSpaceAlps” project  and the Academy for Territorial Development in the Leibniz Association (ARL) have joined forces in order to build a new network, based on the idea that especially approaches to open space planning should be developed and implemented across borders. AlpPlan, the alpine spatial planning network, aims to provide spatial and sectoral planning professionals, experts and decision-makers from all Alpine Space countries and regions with a platform for the transnational knowledge exchange of good practices and future solutions for sustainable land-use and spatial planning.
